Sistine Chapel of Soccer
Artistic work made famous through media and recognized around the world
Gigantic artwork exhibited in the Sportivo Pereyra club in Buenos Aires as a tribute to the greatest Argentine soccer stars.
During the 2018 FIFA World Cup, my artwork “The Sistine Chapel of Soccer” was popularized and went viral. It pays tribute to the greatest Argentine soccer players in history.
It’s 500 m² and hangs from the ceiling of the main indoor pitch at the Sportivo Pereyra club in Barracas (Buenos Aires) where hundreds of kids train and play every day.
Its concept, magnitude and context were the perfect combo for it to not only make local news, but international as well.
Several news agencies, portals and dozens of graphic, radio and television media reported on it: AFP, Reuters, BBC, CNN, New York Times, Marca, Mundo Deportivo, Le Figaro, Libération, TeleSur, La Nación, Olé, Fox Sports, TyC Sports, TNT Sports, Canal 13, Viva magazine, Radio Mitre, C5N and many more. As well as the honorees: Maradona, Agüero and Batistuta.
